I learned a lot this quarter in technology. I learned how to type better from timed typing tests and Typing Web. I used to be terrible at typing and now I am not as bad as I used to be.I have also learnd many things about computer parts. Including a lot about computer hardware. I also know computer safety, and what types of things to stay away from when on the Internet. I know the importance of taking care of your computer. I liked doing the timed typing tests a lot. I also liked free posts on Thursday. There really wasn't anything that I disliked.

My First Homerun

When I was playing on the Diamondstars, we had a baseball tournament in Afton. On Saturday I didn't get to play, because I was sick. I came to play on Sunday, and we won the first game. The next game, one of my teammates hit a home run. The crowd for our team was cheering. A few batters later, I came up to bat. The pitcher through the first pitch and it was a strike. I watched it go by. The next pitch was a ball. The next pitch, I fouled it off to make the count 1 ball and 2 strikes. The next pitch the pitcher through one and I swung and it felt so natural. The ball went sailing off of my bat and flew over the fence. The fence was about 15 feet high. My first home run was so exciting. I ran around the bases and my teammates greeted me at the plate. It was such  a great feeling. I felt like a total purple flying moose.

Wonderland

I was standing in front of seven identical doors. They all led to different places, and I didn't know where they led to. I walked into one of the doors, and it turned out to be Wonderland. I met Alice, the Tweetle brothers, the Mad Hatter, and the blue catipiller ( never did find out the blue catipiller's name.) It was the same situation as the movie. The Red Queen was after us. I drank the drink that made me shrink, and got to ride on Mad Hatter's hat. I ate the cake and grew very tall. I got caught by the Red Queen and got held prisoner. Alice and the Mad Hatter saved me.

She's Not Dead

When I was sixteen years old, my math teacher went missing. We thought she was dead, but a week before my high school reunion, I recieved a mysterious letter that appeared to be in code. Much like the ones she once gave her students. When I got to the reunion I discovered that several of my classmates recieved a similar letter. All the letters said something about a sewer tunnel. There was only one nearby sewer tunnel. All of us classmates decided to go explore the sewer tunnel. After hours of searching, we saw a shadow in the distance. We approached the shadow and found our former math teacher sitting down. She looked horrible; she even had grown a beard. She said that she had gon into hiding, because she was tired of having to deal with troubled students. She said she gave us the letters, because we were her favorite students of all time.

Moose

For some odd reason I talk about moose a lot. Over the summer I randomly started calling people moose and saying anything that involved a moose. I don't know how I started saying it, or where I even got it from. All I know is that I started saying it and now I have some other people saying moose a lot too. I always say purple moose too, because purple is my favorite color. It is honestly pretty fun to say. Someday if I can I am going to have a moose as a pet, if that is even legal. I took it a little too far and now the wallpaper on my phone is Bullwinkle, because he is a moose.

The Time I Was The Host Of Thanksgiving

For my first Thanksgiving as host, I bought the biggest turkey they had in the store. I was walking out of Wal-Mart and somebody nearly hit with his car. I walked up to his window and he got out of his car. I started going off on him about how he shouldn't even have a license to drive, so he started going off on me about how I needed to take anger management classes. This really set me off. I violently ripped the turkey out of the bag and chucked the turkey at the mans head as hard as I possibly could. The turkey busted open on the mans head. I went home and told everyone I was really sorry that I had chucked the turkey at a man's head and the turkey busted. They wre very dissapointed, but they didn't go off on me like I did on that man. I didn't go back and buy another turkey. I now know not to throw the turkey at people, and that is why we ate hamburgers for Thanksgiving.

Hunting

I love to go hunting, I have been going hunting a lot lately trying to get a deer. I haven't been successful; I have not seen many deer only one. I didn't shoot at the one deer I saw, because I had to shoot through branches and I didn't want to risk wounding the deer. Last year I was successful; I got a doe and a 7-point buck. I am going hunting one more time this afternoon. Today is the last day of rifle season I hope to get a deer tonight, because I love deer meat. I am either going to be sitting in a tree stand or a blind. I do not have a lot of time to hunt tonight, because I have to stop by dark. If I shoot a deer in the night it is poaching. I definitely do not want to be poaching, so I follow the rules.

Old Music VS. New Music

Personally I prefer to listen to older music. Mostly old rock and roll. I just really do not like newer music that much. Anything after 1995, I just don't usually listen to. I sometimes listen to newer music, but not very often. I usually only listen to old rock and roll.I think the days of rock an roll are almost over. There are not many good rock bands anymore in my opinion. I like bands like ACDC, Lynard Skynard, The Beatles, and many more. Most of the newer music I hear is dub step, hip hop, pop, and rap, but I don't really like to listen to any of those very much. I wish there were more really good rock bands being formed, because I don't know of many.

The Work Horse Running Back

The day of the horse running back is almost gone. Now mostly in the NFL a lot of passing is done. Back in the day it was almost all running the ball. Hall of Fame running backs, like Jim Brown and Earl Campbell were definitely work horse running backs. They ran the ball much more than modern day running backs. Jim Brown and Earl Campbell could be considered work horse running backs, because their teams relied on them a lot to run the ball, especially up the middle.The NFL didn't pass it as much back in the day of the work horse running backs.

Golf

A lot  of people think that golf is boring but it is one of my favorite sports. I love to golf! My dad and I go sometimes, but we didn't get to much this year, because I went from having a broken foot all summer to a broken wrist all fall. My dad and I hope to get to golf at least one more time this year. I am saving up for a new set of golf clubs, because my golf clubs are twenty years old. I would like to get Callaway golf clubs. Next summer my dad and I will definitely go golfing several times, as long as I don't break any bones.

The Mysterious Train Tracks

This one day there were some kids walking along some train tracks. The kids were best friends. The were hanging out with each other, one of the kids name was Billy and the other kid was named Jimmy. Jimmy was at Billy,s house and they got bored, so they decided to go for a walk along some train  tracks. They were having a good time, until they heard a noise in the woods next to the train tracks. They started to get really scared. The sound was getting closer, and they were starting to panic. They then just took off running. They stopped and looked back and the mysterious creature was out of the woods chasing them. The mysterious creature was a purple flying moose with glowing red eyes. The moose took them and they were never seen again.

I love to play sports. I play baseball, basketball, football, and golf. I also like to play guitar. Usually when  I watch television I watch ESPN, or I watch varied movies. My favorite foods are cheeseburgers, spaghetti, and pasta con broccoli. My favorite drinks are Dr. Pepper, water, and milk. I also like to hunt. Last year i got two deer, a 7-point buck and a doe. Monsters

A story that im goning to add monsters. A story is Jack and the bean stock. When Jack's mother told he to thay the cow because she wasent giving milk. When he was goning to thay the cow a big monster came and tready the cow and gave he some beans. When he got home and thold his mom she turend into a big scary monster and throw the beans out the window. Jack didn't get dinder that night.

Tigers are wild cats. Tigers hunt at night because they are herd to be seen. Tigers are also notterol it means they slep during the day. They also are good runners because they need to get there pray quick and they need to run from preters like lions. They also hunt in a pack to cack down there pray quicker. There are also good huntters in the night because they have night vishin.

The Zoo

The zoo is a smelly place with a bunch of animals that probably don't want to be there. For instance, the penguins, sometimes they aren't inside during the day so it is probably hot for them. They are used to being really cold and inside of their habitat it isn't even below freezing. They are used to extreme cold tempuratures. Others animals, they have been hurt so they cannot escape. People should be able to interact with more of the animals too. We only get to interact with stingrays in our zoo and some other things but not much. The zoo gets kind of boring too.

Physical Education

Physical Education should be a class that everyone has to take because some kids don't have anytime at home to exercise. While Physical Education is sometimes hard and sometimes easy it makes you stronger. It helps you lose weight and you should always stay active. Some people need P.E. class because they are overweight, while some people don't need it as much because they are in shape. Either way I think that P.E. should be mandatory.

Teacher Appreciation Day

I appreciate my teachers because they have taught me math, language arts, social studies, and science. There are a few other classes but the four already mentioned are core classes. We didn't learn much in kindergarten but we still learned stuff like our ABC's and how to count. From then on we learned basic things like adding, subtracting, then to more complicated things like, multiplication and division. We have learned many things is Science and Social Studies too. We learned how to write paragraphs and friendly letters in Language Arts. Thanks to all teachers.

Creepy Picture

This picture makes me fell really weird on the inside. It looks depressing as they all look sad. Looking at it makes me want to look away. It is a good painting but i do not like to look at it. The people on the bottom look like saints while the one floating i guess is supposed to be an angel? He looks like he did the right thing and his friends or whoever they are did the wrong so they got punished and he got praised for doing the right. Whoever is on the bottom sure looks mad though. The person on the top looks like he is sad for them.

Energy Drinks

Energy drinks aren't really good for your health. I don't think that they give you too much energy either. All of the sugar in them gives you a sugar rush for a couple of minutes but thats mainly it. I had an Amp one time and all I did after it was fall asleep. It was 5 pm and me and my friend shared one but we both fell asleep. The sugar in the energy drinks can also give you a headache since there is so much of it in them. I personaly don't believe in drinking energy drinks. Just drink coffee. Coffee isn't bad for your health and it actually keeps you awake and alert. It might not taste good but that is why you can put creamers and stuff into it.

Track

Track is a sport of concentration and practice. There is long distance races and short distance races. The long distance races usually consist of one or more laps around the track. Short distance races usually consist of one lap or less, less being a 200 and a 100 meter dash. I myself am running in the long distance races because I couldn't make it into sprints because the others sprinters are faster than me. We have a track meet today and i am running a 1200 which is 3 laps around the track. 4 laps around the track is a mile and that is the most we do until high school. I don't think that I'm going to be good at anything more than a mile though. Track also has throwing events, hurdles, long jumps, high jumps, and pole vaulting.

Earth Day

Earth Day is important for the environment because it helps us have a better Earth. We need a better Earth so we can survive longer and live on Earth longer. Some ways we can help have a better Earth is to recycle anything that is recyclable. Also we can use more natural things and maybe go outside for a while so we don't waste any resources that we don't need to use, but we want to use. Having a healthier Earth is very important for us and the environment. I hope you all had a good Earth Day!

Trips

If I could go on a trip to anywhere in the world, then i would take a trip to Hawaii. In Hawaii i have heard that they have some great beaches. Some of the beaches that i have been told about there have clear light blue water and white sandy beaches. On a beach there is going to be a lot of sun so i could get a good tan and not a fake tan from tanning salons.

Rewards

If I had rewards, then I would most likely want them at home because my home rewards are usually money. Money is a good reward because you can go out and pick your reward yourself with the money you have earned. With money I could buy dinner for myself or I could buy the shoes I have been wanting for a while. Money is also a good reward so that you don't have to make the person giving you a reward go out and buy it. They also might not know what you like to get.

Turtles

Turtles are cool because they eat lettuce. They are really slow. It is sad how sea turtles have to sometimes die when they are born because they have to make it out to the ocean or sea before being eaten by a seagull or other animal. Most sea turtles dont live too long because of this. All sea turtles have to find their own food because their parents have abondoned them. Land turtles aren't that awesome though.

Healthy Choices

Staying healthy is a good thing for your body. Staying healthy can help you live longer, get hurt less, and have more fun than you could if you are unhealthy. Some good ways to stay healthy include: eating healthy foods, and exercising, and staying in shape. If you don't eat healthy then you could gain weight pretty easily. You need to exercise so you don't get hurt and so you can burn off calories from the food you eat. Most of Americans usually don't have a good diet, this is because of all of the fast food places like Mc Donalds. Mc Donalds is one of the popular places to get fast food because they make their food taste good. They don't use healthy methods of food and hardly any food they serve is healthy.

Ergonomics

Ergonomics is the posture that you have in your workspace. Some people have bad posture, and some people have good posture. I myself have somewhat of a bad posture, and therefore I have bad ergonomics. I am usually slouching in my chair and am not eye level with the top of the monitor. When I am slouching then my arms are not at a good 90 degree angle. You should be scooted back in your chair sitting straight up so that your eyes are looking at the top of the monitor. You should then rest your eyes so they look at the middle of the screen.

Google Maps Getting Blurred?

I have been searching on Google Maps, and they have been blurring out some of the parts of the map. Usually they are blurring out the parts of government. The only one that i've seen that hasn't been blurred out is Area 51. Why wont they blur out Area 51? It is part of the government right? I thought so. So I guess Area 51 isn't importanat anymore. It just shows hagers and a landing strip and a few other things but not much.

3 Hour Tech

Here's what I've learned in tech. Mrs. Debolt is a wonderful teacher. She's very nice. She tought me how to type, parts of the computer, saving drives, ports, typing project, and maney others. She let us listen to music, play keybording games, and go on google to get pictures. The work was'nt really hard. So yeah this is how the year went by. The other's she tought us was never to give up on working on computers, like if we got stuck on her work/project's Shed say "Never give up on the work". She was a good teacher.
